Beginning To Turn…

Beginning To Turn…

I was in the middle of writing this when my son brought the mail in with this card in it from the sweetest person that I met last week.   Strange the timing, applicable to the subject- I changed the title.

I’m harvesting the last of the things before the frost.. hibiscus, herbs, tomatoes, peppers. Luffa..

End of year is also great time to be purchasing any seeds you may need for Spring. Sounds crazy, but they will be cheaper right now, and easier to come by what you are looking for.

No more “busy bees”. The observation hive here is a reminder to store up for the winter, and rest a while. These winter bees will last the winter and very early spring, and draw from the resources the bees before them worked so hard for.
Winter is coming friends! Tomorrow it will be dark before 6pm…I shudder. I would generally tell you that I despise winter, and being cold…but I’m learning to embrace the rest that winter brings. Rest is not something I do well, but it IS necessary for health.
Here at the Farm, we’re  working to build a community that understands where health starts, and how to begin healing your body naturally, and practically— not because it’s suddenly popular, but because it’s our passion.
To kick off our winter wellness series, we are having “Fire Cider and a Fire”. Grab a friend for a night out at The Farm! We’ll learn the health benefits of fire cider from Cartwright and Cline Nutrition, and make a quart to take home. We’ll even roast gut healthy homemade marshmallows over the fire for s’mores. We can’t wait to see you there!
